Test day
When the examiner asks you a question, don’t feel you have to rush to answer.
At the start of your test, before you drive away:
- Listen carefully to the Tell Me question
- Think about how you will answer the question
- Tell the examiner the answer
You know the answer, you completed the course, and you’ve practised.
Remember: if you are unable to answer, you will only get a minor driving fault, so you don’t need to worry about your test result.
During your test, while you are driving:
- Listen carefully to the Show Me question
- Check the road ahead and check your mirrors
- Think about how you will answer the question
- Show the examiner what you have been asked
You know the answer, you completed the course, and you practised in this car.
Remember: the examiner won’t mind repeating the question if you didn’t hear properly. And the examiner is not expecting you to rush; take your time so that you can keep good control of the car while you’re taking one hand off your steering wheel.
