Lesson 4 of 29
In Progress

Test day

Test day

When the examiner asks you a question, don’t feel you have to rush to answer.

At the start of your test, before you drive away:

  • Listen carefully to the Tell Me question
  • Think about how you will answer the question
  • Tell the examiner the answer

You know the answer, you completed the course, and you’ve practiced.

Remember: if you are unable to answer, you will only get a minor driving fault, so you don’t need to worry about your test result.

During your test, while you are driving:

  • Listen carefully to the Show Me question
  • Check the road ahead and check your mirrors
  • Think about how you will answer the question
  • Show the examiner what you have been asked

You know the answer, you completed the course, and you practiced in this car.

Remember: the examiner won’t mind repeating the question if you didn’t hear properly. And the examiner is not expecting you to rush, take your time so that you can keep good control of the car while you’re taking one hand off your steering wheel.
