Cadence braking:

Cadence braking is the technique of pumping the brake when on a slippery surface in order to stop the car. You will need to apply maximum pressure on the brake until the wheels are about to lock then release the brake and re-apply to maximum pressure again. You may have to do this several times before you stop. (This applies to vehicles without ABS).
