Passing Parked Vehicles

Lesson Progress
0% Complete

Give one metre of clearance whenever possible in case:

1. A car door opens.
2. A pedestrian steps out from between the vehicles.
3. A vehicle moves away.

If it is not possible to give one metre of clearance but you are still able to pass, then
slow down enough to make passing through safe. A general rule to follow is to give way to oncoming vehicles if the gap either side of your vehicle is going to be less than half a metre clearance.
