Overtaking Horse and Riders or Other Animals

Passing Horse and Riders or other animals:

In order to pass a horse or other animals you must take great care so as not to frighten them.

Pass them slowly so you don’t startle them. Quietly, so no revving the engine or sounding your horn. Give as much room as possible in case the animal becomes frightened. (slow, quiet and wide)

Keep an eye on the person in charge of the animal for any signals they may give you and act on them properly.
