Overtaking Moving Vehicles

Overtaking moving vehicles:

Overtaking is potentially a very dangerous manoeuvre and you must ask yourself if it is necessary to do. Never overtake if your view is restricted or if there are signs or road markings stopping you from doing so.

You must be able to see far enough ahead and behind to know that it is safe to move out, pass and move back in again safely without causing danger or inconvenience to others.

Before overtaking you must anticipate the actions of other drivers both behind and ahead. Look for their position and signals.
